Samsung Galaxy S5 with 5.1 inch display, quad-core processor announced


Samsung has announced its next flagship smartphone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a 5.1 inch display and has a dust and water resistant body. It comes with some unique features in including an inbuilt finger print scanner for additional security and a heart rate monitor. It has a 16 MP primary camera and a 2 MP front camera for video calling. The Galaxy S5 has 2 GB RAM and is available in 16/32 GB variants.

Connectivity wise the Samsung Galaxy S5 supports GPRS, 3G, USB, NFC and Bluetooth. It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat and has a qualcomm snapdragon quad-core 2.5 GHz processor. The S5 pack a Li-Ion 2800 mAh battery. Other features included are inbuilt accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, temperature, humidity, gesture and heart rate sensors. The smartphone will be launched in Black, White, Blue and Gold colors.
