Ola cabs has been asked by the Delhi HC to shut down its
service in the capital. Justice Manmohan stated that how is the company is
operating in the city after the ban imposed on the company on January 1. The
online cab aggregator has filed for a plea before the court after the HC
directed the Delhi
government to enforce its ban order issued on January 1 banning radio cab
services which are not registered under radio taxi scheme and running on
diesel.
Delhi HC stated that diesel-based commercial vehicles cannot
be allowed in the city under orders issued by the Supreme Court and the
National Green Tribunal to curb pollution levels. Last month, the Delhi government had rejected
Ola’s license application, but later it was cleared for operating cabs running
on CNG in the capital.
