OnePlus 2 smartphone with fingerprint sensor, Oxygen OS launched at Rs 24,999



OnePlus has officially unveiled its next flagship smartphone dubbed the OnePlus 2 at Rs 24,999. The OnePlus 2 64GB variant will go on sale in India on August 11 via ecommerce retailer Amazon.in, while the 3GB RAM, 16GB ROM variant will be launched later this year at Rs 22,999.

The OnePlus 2 smartphone has a 5.5-inch IPS LCD In-Cell display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 based OxygenOS. The smartphone has a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC with 4GB RAM. It has a USB Type-C reversible connector and comes with an inbuilt fingerprint sensor that can store up to 5 prints for additional security. The phone is backed by a 3,300mAh battery.

Commenting on the OnePlus 2 launch, Vikas Agarwal, General Manager - India, OnePlus, said, "The future battleground for all things innovation and technology has begun and OnePlus with its latest offering is all set to lead the next generation of smartphones. India is an important market for us and our fans are sure to get their hands on OnePlus 2 simultaneously with the rest of the world."

OnePlus co-founder, Carl Pei stated at the launch, "With the OnePlus 2, we're making a bet on the future, and doubling down on a holistic product experience."
