Samsung announces Galaxy Tab S2 with fingerprint scanner in 9.7 and 8-inch variants

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Tab S2 in two screen variants - a 9.7-inch screen and an 8-inch screen. The Galaxy Tab S2 is just 5.6 mm thick and has a metal frame. The tab has a Super AMOLED display which the company claims has “94% of natural tones to show true-to-life colours (Adobe RGB color standard).” It comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office Solutions and offers 100 GB OneDrive cloud storage free for two years. Samsung has added a touch-enabled Fingerprint Scanner in the Tab S2 for additional security. Connectivity options included are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB. The tablet will go on sale in August.

JK Shin, CEO and President of IT & Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics stated in a press release, “The Galaxy Tab S2 is not only our thinnest and lightest tablet of its size ever, it also gives users quick, easy access to a wealth of superior viewing and productivity features.”
