1. Xiaomi makes Mi4 64 GB price cut permanent in India
Xiaomi had reduced the price of Xiaomi Mi 4 64 GB variant by Rs 2000 as a part of its anniversary celebrations in the country. Now the company has made the price cut permanent. The Xiaomi Mi 4 is now available for Rs 17,999 at flipkart.


2. OnePlus makes invites open for its next OnePlus 2 smartphone
OnePlus has announced that the first invites for its new flagship device the OnePlus 2 are now open. The company is also holding a special event on July 28th in India for OnePlus 2 launch

3. 5-inch LG Max mid-range smartphone launched at Rs 10,990
LG has launched another mid-range Android smartphone called the LG Max in India for Rs 10,990. The Android 5.1 based smartphone will be available in single and dual sim variants. Read more here.

4. Micromax Canvas Spark open sale to be held on July 27,28 on Snapdeal
Micromax has announced an open sale of its budget Canvas Spark smartphone on snapdeal.com. The company has seen a huge response to the device and has already sold over 500,000 units. 

5. Motorola Moto G 2015 to be launched in India on July 28
Motorola is planning to launch its next generation Moto G 2015 smartphone in India on July 28th according to reports. The smartphone will feature a quad core qualcomm snapdragon processor and will be available in 8GB and 16GB variants. Read more here.  

6. Vodafone starts 4G trails in India 
Vodafone has started 4G trails in the country and plans to introduce the service by the end of the year. "We are now trialling 4G services across selected areas," the company said."Our emerging markets have maintained their strong momentum and more of our European businesses are returning to growth, as customer demand for 4G and data takes off," Vittorio Colao, group chief executive said."Smartphone penetration is now 26% across the country and 47% in the four metro circles and we now have 22 million 3G customers compared to 10 million a year ago," the statement said.

7. Next Yu Yureka Plus smartphone sale to be held on July 30
Registrations for the next Yu Yureka Plus flash sale scheduled for July 30th on Amazon are now open. The company claims that it has already sold over 50,000 units of the device in its previous flash sale. 

8. Line introduces Line Lite app for emerging markets
Japanese messaging app Line has introduced a Lite app for emerging markets. The new Android app which weighs just 1 MB will be launched in 11 countries including Algeria, Cambodia, Colombia, Egypt, India, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Korea, and Vietnam. 

9. Microsoft's next flagship devices Lumia 950, 950 XL to come with inbuilt scanner, wireless tech
Microsoft is gearing to launch its next Windows 10 flagship devices- the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL at the IFA event in September according to reports. Both the devices will be equipped with Qi wireless charging and infrared scanner.

10. Images of the next Samsung Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+ spotted online
Images of Samsung Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ have surfaced online before the expected August launch date. According to reports the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will come with the popular S Pen stylus, while the Galaxy S6 Edge+ is designed to compete with Apple iPhone 6 Plus.
