1. Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 spotted online 
Xiaomi is gearing to launch its MIUI 7 on Aug 19, now according to reports the company is also planning to launch the next Redmi Note 2 phablet also. The smartphone will feature a 5.5 inch HD display and run Android 5.1 based MIUI 7. It will have a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. 

2. Facebook working on a new Twitter like news App
Facebook is reportedly testing a new news standalone app like Twitter/Flipboard. According to reports the company is working with publishers, who will send 100 words notifications with a link to the news. Users will be able to choose from which publication and topic they want to receive the notifications.

3. OnePlus 2 delivery delayed to US
OnePlus 2 shipments to the US are running late by 2-3 weeks according to the company. However the company assures that this won't change the date of sale for the device. Customers who get their hands on the invite can order will be able to get the device on time.

4. Philips launches budget Xenium I908 and S309 smartphones  
Philips has launched two new budget Android 4.4 based smartphones in the Indian market - the Xenium I908 and S309 smartphones priced at Rs 11,799 and Rs 4,999 respectively. The smartphones are meant for young professionals, college goers and budget users. 

5. Panasonic Eluga Icon available on Amazon India for Rs 10,999
Panasonic had launched the Eluga Icon smartphone with a 5.5 inch display, octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and Android 4.4. It is backed by a 3500 mAh battery. The smartphone is available exclusively via ecommerce retailer Amazon.in.



6. Lenovo sells over 3 lakh units of the K3 Note

Lenovo has announced that the company has sold over 3 lakh units of the Lenovo K3 Note on Flipkart. The smartphone offers excellent features in budget pricing. The next flash sale of the device is scheduled on Aug 18, registrations are open now. 

7. Microsoft trolls Google, abc.wtf redirects to Bing
Microsoft has just trolled Googles restructuring, the link to abc.wtf now redirects users to Bing! It is not clear whether Microsoft is just trolling Google or is this a permanent redirect to the less popular Bing.

8. Apple iPad Mini 4 may come with Split view: Report
Apple's new iPad Mini 4 will reportedly come with the Split View (two apps running side-by-side) feature revealed for the iPad in iOS 9. This may suggest that the upcoming iPad mini 4 will be on par with the iPad Air 2, which runs on the Apple A8X.

9. Facebook announces auto-play video ads 
Facebook has announced that its auto-play video ads to publishers will now Facebook’s Audience Network ads to monetize their apps. The new feature targets users with items they have considered buying elsewhere on the web.

10. Blu launches Win HD LTE and Win Jr LTE smartphones
US based Blu mobiles has launched 4G LTE smartphones in India called Win HD LTE and Win Jr LTE for Rs 9,499 and Rs 6,999 respectively. The smartphone feature dual-SIM, 1.2 GHz quad-core processors and run Windows 8.1.
