1. Facebook announces voice assistant M
Facebook has joined the voice assistant bandwagon with Google Now, Microsoft Cortana and Apple Siri and has announced its own Facebook M AI voice assistant. In a blog post, Facebook said M, which is built into Messenger, noted: 'Unlike other AI-based services in the market, M can actually complete tasks on your behalf. It can purchase items, get gifts delivered to your loved ones, book restaurants, travel arrangements, appointments and way more".

2. Alcatel OneTouch Pop 8S tablet launched for Rs 10,499
Alcatel has announced a 4G LTE enabled tablet called OneTouch Pop 8S in India. The tablet boasts of an 8-inch display, 1.2 GHz qualcomm snapdragon processor and runs Android 5.0. The tablet will be available exclusively via online retailer

3. Amazon India now sells refurbished smartphones
Amazon India has launched its refurbished smartphone section, following an initial pilot. The company is touting 'quality-assured refurbished smartphones' on its website. Under the scheme Amazon will be selling refurbished smartphones by Samsung, Xiaomi, Apple, OnePlus, Motorola, Micromax, and Lava.

4. Videocon Z55 Dash smartphone launched at Rs 6,490
Videocon has launched a budget Z55 Dash smartphone at Rs 6,490. The smartphone has a 5-inch IPS HD screen, 1.4 GHz octa-core processor and runs Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) operating system. The smartphone is available exclusively available on e-commerce website Flipkart.

5. Google Map Maker returns to 45 countries
Google has relaunched the Map Maker in 45 countries including India. According to Pavithra Kanakarajan, Product Manager, Google Map Maker stated, “We have selected mappers in each country as ‘Regional Leads’ to moderate edits done by other mappers in their respective regions. These are users who have demonstrated a clear interest in mapping their areas and will be helpful in moderating edits made by you.” 

6. Intex Aqua Turbo 4G smartphone launched at Rs 7,444
Intex has launched the Aqua Turbo 4G budget smartphone at Rs 7,444. The smartphone has a 5 inch display, 1 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android Lollipop 5.0. It is backed by a powerful 3000 mAh battery. 

7. Micromax Canvas Nitro 4G smartphone launched at Rs. 10,999
Micromax launches Canvas Nitro 4G smartphone for Rs 10,999. The smartphone boasts of a 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon octa-core processor and runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. It has a 13 MP rear autofocus camera with dual-LED flash, and a 5 MP front camera. 

8. Saavn launches Windows 10 universal app
Saavn has launched its music streaming app for Windows 10. The app gives users access to over 10 million tracks across 11 languages. According to reports, more than 75 million users have upgraded to the Windows 10 OS in the four weeks since its launch

9. Obi Worldphone announces two budget smartphones between $129-$249
Obi Worldphone has announced two new budget smartphones the Obi Worldphone SF1 4G/LTE enabled smartphone and SJ1.5 (San Jose) is a 3G smartphone priced between $129-249 in India. The smartphones will be available in India from October. 

10. Images of Windows 10 based Cityman and Talkman smartphones leaked online
Images of Microsoft’s next flagship Windows 10 Mobile phones, codenamed Cityman and Talkman have leaked online. Cityman has a 5.7-inch display while Talkman has a smaller 5.2-inch display. The images reveal dedicated camera buttons on both the mobiles.
