1.  Asus launches ZenFone 2 Deluxe, Selfie and Laser starting at Rs 9,999
Asus has launched 3 new smartphones in India called the ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone Selfie and the ZenFone Laser starting at Rs 9,999. The smartphones will be available from October in the country. 

2. Airtel ties up with Flipkart and Samsung to roll out 4G services in India
Airtel has teamed up with Samsung and Flipkart to roll out its 4G services across 246 towns in India. As a part of the deal Samsung will be launching budget Airtel 4G devices starting at Rs 6,000 while Airtel will roll out 4G service packs at as low as Rs 25.

3. Xiaomi and Huawei lead Chinese smartphone market 
Xiaomi and Huawei top the Chinese market, Apple is on the number 3 position, Vivo claimed fourth spot while Samsung once the top vendor in the country has fallen to the fifth spot. 

4. Acer launches Windows 10 based laptops in the country starting at Rs 26,499
Acer has announced new Windows 10 based devices in the country including the Aspire E5-573, the Aspire V Nitro-Black Edition and the Aspire R 13 featuring Acer’s unique Ezel Aero Hinge starting at Rs 26,499. The company has also announced the entire 2015 Windows-powered product lineup will support free Windows 10 upgrade for one year.

5. Intex Cloud 4G Star smartphone launched at Rs 7,299
Intex has launched a budget 4G-enabled smartphone, the Cloud 4G Star in India. The smartphone features a 5-inch IPS HD display and offers multiple language support. The smartphone is available exclusively on Flipkart.

6. LG's announces a new Android flip phone
LG Wine is a new flip Android phone by the company. The hybrid smartphone runs Android lollipop and has a 3.2 inch touchscreen. Connectivity wise the device supports WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE and has dual cameras. 

7. Facebook new feature allows businesses to send messages
Facebook has announced a new feature that allows businesses to privately communicate with customers through messages via its Messenger app. A new “send message” button in ads newsfeed allows Facebook users to click a button and send private messages.

8. WhatsApp update allows iOS users to back up videos
WhatsApp has released a new update for its iOS app that allows the users to include videos in their chat backups. The update also brings an improved design and location sharing feature via Apple Maps.

9. Samsung plans monthly updates to improve security
With Android devices most vulnerable to hacking, Samsung is implementing a new Android security update process that will push out security updates to its customer devices every month.

10. Aug 6 celebrated as the birth of World wide web
August 6 is celebrated globally as the day when the 'Web' was born. In 1991, Tim Berners-Lee published a report of 'World Wide Web' (WWW) and made internet available to the public.
