Motorola unveils second-gen Moto 360, Moto 360 Sport

Motorola has officially unveiled its second-generation Moto 360 smartwatch. Lenovo-owned Motorola is touting the wearable as "the world's first fully customizable smartwatch". The new smartwatch has been launched in three models, a men's watch in two sizes, a women's model and a new sports model called Moto 360 Sport.

The 46mm Men's model has a 1.56-inch (360x330-pixel resolution) display, while the women's 42mm variant has a 1.37-inch (360x325-pixel resolution) display. Both the wearable's have Motorola's signature round display. It has a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB internal storage and a 300 mAh battery. The new Moto 360 comes with inbuilt accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, a heart rate sensor and vibration/haptics engine. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi.

The company's Moto 360 Sport has a special UV coating and comes with a built-in GPS to track user's speed, distance, and pace. All the smartwatches run on Google latest Android Wear software and are compatible with both iPhone and iOS. Users can customize Moto 360 using Motorola's Moto Maker design studio. Motorola says in its blog post, "Customize your Moto 360 to your exact specifications — multiple case sizes, finishes, bezels, and bands—using Moto Maker, our online design studio."
