1. Gionee S5.1 Pro smartphone with 5-inch display, 13-MP camera unveiled 
Gionee has unveiled the S5.1 Pro smartphone with a 5-inch 2.5D HD (720x1280) Amoled display, Gorilla Glass 4 protection and an octa-core SoC in China. The smartphone runs Android 5.1 with Amigo 3.0 UI.

2. Sony unveils Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 Premium smartphones 
Sony has unveiled three new smartphones, including the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and the Xperia Z5 Premium. All the devices run Android 5.1, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 SOC, 23 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front selfie camera. The Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact will be launched in Oct while the Xperia Z5 Premium smartphone will be available from Nov.

3. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 with 4G LTE support launched for Rs 39,400
Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab S2 tablet in India for Rs 39,400. The tablet has a 9.7-inch QXGA (2048×1536) Super AMOLED display, octa-core processor with 3GB RAM and Android 5.0. 

4. Micromax Yu to launch a new smartphone on Sept 8
Micromax Yu will be announcing a new smartphone on September 8 in India. The company has sent out press invites for the launch event with the side profile of the smartphone and the message "When future meets past, the next wonder will be unveiled”. The Micromax Yu smartphone will be available exclusively via snapdeal.com.

5. India has over 350 mln internet users, 60 pc on mobile: IAMAI
India has over 352 million internet users in the country as on June 30, 2015, according to IAMAI. The report reveals that over 60 pc users i.e, 213 million access internet through mobile devices in the country.

6.  Motorola unveils second-gen Moto 360, Moto 360 Sport
Motorola has officially unveiled its second-generation Moto 360 and Moto 360 Sport. Lenovo-owned Motorola is touting the wearables as "the world's first fully customizable smartwatch". The wearables have Motorola's signature round display, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB internal storage and a 300 mAh battery. 

7. Snapdeal acquires US based startup 'Reduce Data'
Ecommerce giant Snapdeal has acquired startup 'Reduce Data' for an undisclosed amount. The company has a programmatic display advertising platform that leverages artificial intelligence, real-time data and other tools. The move will help snapdeal strengthen its discovery platform against competitors Flipkart and Amazon.

8. OnePlus partners with Airtel to give you the OnePlus 2 experience
OnePlus is allowing customers to experince its latest flasgship OnePlus 2 smartphones at select airtel stores from Sept 4. The smartphone will be available in 50 stores in Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai.

9. Twitter the top source of breaking news on social media: Survey
Twitter is the top source for breaking news among all social networking platforms, according to a new online survey conducted on more than 4,700 social media users. The report states that nearly nine in 10 Twitter (86 percent) users in the survey said they use Twitter for news, and the vast majority of those (74 percent) do so daily.

10. Airtel and Ericsson partner to roll out 4G services in 5 circles
Ericsson has entered in a four year contract with Airtel to rollout 4G network in Delhi and four other circles. The company already has an existing partnership with Airtel to provide 3G services across eight circles over the next four years.
