1. Motorola Moto X Play smartphone to launch on Sept 14
Motorola has sent out press invites for an event on Sept 14, where the company is expected to launch the Moto X Play. The smartphone has a 5.5-inch AMOLED display, octa-core processor, a 21MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and a powerful 3,630mAh battery.
2. Samsung India leads in India with 45pc market share
Samsung India has announced that it has garnered over 45% market share of smartphones in the price band of over Rs 40,000 in India. Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Note 5 in India and made the announcement at the event. 

3. Asus Zenfone 2 Laser smartphone launched at Rs 9,999
Asus has launched the Zenfone 2 Laser smartphone in India for Rs 9999 via ecommerce retailer The Zenfone 2 Laser smartphone boasts of a 5inch HD display, a 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera with laser- assisted auto-focus.
4. Yu Yunique 4G smartphone launched at Rs 4,999 on Snapdeal
Yu Yunique launched, features a 4.7-inch HD display with a 720 x 1280 resolution, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 1GB RAM and Android 5.1 Lollipop with CyanogenMod 12.1 UI on top. The smartphone is available exclusively via snapdeal.

5. Hike launches 5,000 stickers in 30 languages
Instant messaging app Hike has launched over 5000 new stickers in 30 languages in India today. The company has over 35 million users in India, and the move is expected to further increase the apps number of users.

According to a report, retailers will spend an estimated $2.5 billion in hardware and installation costs to capitalize on Internet of Things "With diverse business models and aims of IoT projects such as service revenue, spend and cost-savings taken into account, Juniper forecasts the IoT opportunity to approach $300 billion annually in 2020."

The University of Cambridge's Psychometrics Centre has developed a new tool that can define your personality traits based on your Facebook 'likes'. The tool can be used to identify key psychological traits of a person, their religious and political views, intelligence and happiness.  

10. Sony Xperia M5 smartphone to launch tomorrow
Sony has been sending out teasers about the launch of its Sony Xperia M5 smartphone in India tomorrow, September 9th. Unveiled last month the Xperia M5 features a 5-inch 1080p display, MediaTek Helio X10 Octa-Core SoC, a 21.5MP rear camera and Android 5.0 (Lollipop).
