1. Apple to launch new products today
Apple is all set to unveil a new range of products today, including a new Apple TV, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and a new bigger iPad.
2. Sony Xperia M5 camera centric smartphone launched
Sony has launched the Xperia M5 dual-SIM smartphone at Rs.37,990. The smartphone has a waterproof design and a 21.5 MP rear camera as well as a 13 MP front camera.

3. Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 smartphone to launch on Sept 22
Alcatel has announced that it will be launcing its Flash 2 smartphone on September 22. The OneTouch Flash 2 smartphone has a 5 inch display. The company has posted teaser images for the handset with the tagline, "The power of green."

4. Jawbone UP Range of Activity Trackers launched starting at Rs. 4,999
Jawbone has announced three new activity and fitness trackers in a price range of Rs. 4,999 to Rs. 14,999. The tracker monitors your sleep, activity and nutrition. "India being a design and consumer savvy market and with heart diseases, diabetes being the two major causes of death, our bands will help people better understand their health and well-being," said Travis Bogard, vice president of product management and strategy at Jawbone.

5. Xiaomi Mi4c Smartphone to launch on September 24
Xiaomi is expected to launch the Mi4c smartphone on Sept 24, according to reports, The device will come in 2 variants in 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM. Both the devices will be powered by Qualcomm 808 hexa-core 1.4 GHz SoC and run MIUI7.

6. Instagram launches 30-second video ads
Instagram has debuted 30 second video ads in 30 more countries including India, followed by full global availability at the end of the month.

7.  Sony Z series and T2 Ultra get Android 5.1 Lollipop update
Sony has announced Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the original Z series along with T2 Ultra via its official account on Twitter. Sony stated that the update will be OTA and has asked users to look out for notifications.

Googles latest report reveals that Android Lollipop is now present on 21% of all Android devices. This is up from 18.1% since last month and 10% in May.
