1. OnePlus 2 smartphone available without invites today
As a part of a promotion OnePlus 2 was available in open sale on for a limited period. The OnePlus 2 smartphone features a 5.5 inch display, an integrated fingerprint sensor and has USB Type C.
2.  Apple teams up with Chroma to open stores in India
Apple has partnered with Chroma to launch new stores in India by Diwali in six locations. Vijit Mitra, chief executive officer of Infiniti Retail, which owns Croma said, “We are proud to partner Apple to launch the Apple Store in India and extremely bullish about it. These stores will be modelled on the global design and will offer the best experience to consumers, showcasing the entire range of Apple products.”

3. Indian firms increase spending on cyber security
Indian firms have increased the budgets for cyber security to combat the threat of cyber-attacks, according to a PWC study.

4. Panasonic launches budget P50 Idol, P65 Flash smartphones in India
Panasonic India has launched the budget P50 Idol and P65 Flash smartphones in India priced at Rs. 6,790 and Rs. 8,290 respectively. The company says that the smartphones are launched in time for the festive season and will be "ideal gifting purchases."

5. Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen) 4G smartphone launched at Rs 8,999
Motorola has launched a 4G variant of its Moto G 2nd Generation smartphone in India for Rs 8,999. The device is available for pre-order exclusively via ecommerce retailer Flipkart.

6. Xolo to launch Black 1X smartphone with octa-core SoC in October
Xolo will be launchin the successor to its Black smartphone, the Black1X by Oct end. The new device will be powered by a MediaTek octa-core processor with 32 GB ROM and will have a full HD display.

7. Airtel offering freebies worth Rs 15,000 with the new Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus
Airtel will be launching the Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus smartphones in India from Oct 16. Accoring to reports the company will be keeping its stores open all night on the launch day. Airtel will also offer users free 4G data worth Rs 15,000 with the new devices. 

8. Ola launches Social Ride sharing in Bangalore
Cab service provider Ola has launched the 'Share' social ride-sharing feature on its app on Tuesday in Bangalore. The feature has been launched at an introductory flat fare o Rs 50 for users.

9. Vodafone to launch 4G services in Karnataka soon
Vodafone India will be launching its 4G services in Karnataka in this quarter. The services will be launched in Bengaluru, Mysore, Mangalore & Hubli, however the company has not given a specific time frame for the launch.

10. Adobe and Dropbox partner to bring a more streamlined experience to users
Adobe and file hosting service Dropbox have teamed up to bring a more streamlined experience to users. The companies will integrate their applications and services on mobile devices, desktop, and Web for faster and more seamless access to pdf files.
