1. OnePlus to start manufacturing smartphones in India
OnePlus is planning to start production of its smartphones at the Foxconn Rising Stars factory in the Sri City Integrated Business City, Andhra Pradesh by the end of 2015. The smartphones will be manufactured under the 'Make in India' initiative of the PM.


2. Apple stores coming to India
Apple is planning to launch its stores in India in partnership with  Tata-owned electronics store Croma, which will host Apple at six of its locations as a pilot project.

3. Xiaomi Mi 5 to launch on October 19 
Xiaomi has started sending press invites for its October 19 event where the company is expected to unveil its next-generation flagship smartphone, the Mi 5. The Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone will run on octa-core qualcomm snapdragon processor with 4 GB RAM and will have a 5.3 inch display.

4. Dell buying EMC in a record takeover of $65 million  
Dell is acquiring storage provider EMC in a record $65 billion deal, with the help of its financial backer, investment firm Silver Lake. The deal is expected to be announced today.

5. Vodafone India to launch its 4G services in Dec in Mumbai
Vodafone has announced that it will be launching its 4G services in Mumbai in December this year. The company stated that it has already rolled out over 1,000 sites in the past six months and invested over Rs. 500 crores in Mumbai.

6. Huawei Enjoy 5 smartphone with 4000 mAh battery unveiled  
Huawei has unveiled its new Enjoy 5 smartphone in China for Rs. 10,250. The smartphone boasts of a 5 inch display, quad-core processor, a 13 MP rear camera and runs Android 5.1.

7. Chinese manufacturer Coolpad to invest Rs 1,950 crore in mobile phone business in India
Chinese handset maker Coolpad stated at a recent event, that it is planning to invest around Rs 1,950 crore in India to manufacture and sell low cost handsets in the country.

8. Gionee starts smartphone production in India
Gionee has started production of its under-Rs10,000 smartphones at Foxconn's Sri City plant in Tamil Nadu. Gionee says that the devices will be assembled in India from March 2016 and will be sold exclusively in the domestic market.

9. ZTE Axon Mini with 5.2-inch Pressure-Sensitive display unveiled
ZTE has unveiled the Axon Mini smartphone in China. The device has a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) Super Amoled display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor with 3GB of RAM.

10. Man who bought Google.com, is giving up his reward to charity
Ex-Googler Sanmay Ved bought Google.com for $12 is handing over his reward to The Art of Living Foundation. The reward amount has not been revealed but it is stated to be "more than $10,000".
