1. OnePlus X to launch on Oct 29
OnePlus will be launching the its OnePlus X smartphone on 29th Oct in India. The official teaser image showcase a letter 'X' lit with a dark background hinting at the launch of OnePlus X. 

2. Gionee 'made in India' smartphones to launch by March 2016
Gionee has announced that it will be launching its Made in India smartphones by March 2016. The company has recently announced its first made in F series, F10 smartphones.

3. Sony Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium smartphones to launch on Oct 21
Sony India has started sending press invites for an event on October 21, where the company is expected to launch its Sony Xperia Z5 Dual and Xperia Z5 Premium Dual smartphones. 

4. LG to launch mid-range Rs 10k-30k cell phones in India
LG is planning to launch a new line of India-specific mobile smartphones priced between Rs 10,000-Rs 30,000 in the next six months.

The Moto G LTE smartphone is available for pre-order for Rs 8,999 as a part of the Big Billion Day sale on Flipkart. The 4G LTE model is available on Flipkart for preorder starting October 15.

8. Ola launches social carpooling feature
Cab aggregator Ola has launched a new 'Share' feature on its app that will allow its users in the city to share rides, making their travel cheaper. The service has been launched in Bangalore for now.

9. Truecaller app gets updated for Windows Phone
Truecaller has updated its app for Windows phone and will be bringing a host of new features, including putting details and profile pictures for users.

10. Twitter cuts 300 jobs globally
Twitter has announced a cut of 8% in its workforce over the next few weeks. The company stated that “The restructuring is part of an overall plan to organize around the Company’s top product priorities and drive efficiencies throughout the Company."
