Review: XIAOMI RedMi Note 2 32GB 4G Phablet


The Xiaomi RedMi Note 2 32GB 4G Phablet has impressive features in budget pricing. The smartphone has seen incredible sales in China with over 1.5 million units sold within a fortnight of its launch.

The RedMi Note 2 boasts of a 5.5-inch full HD display and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Mediatek Helio 10x processor coupled with 2GB RAM. It has a 13 MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus and a 5 MP front camera. Priced at $179.69 the smartphone gives a run for money to other Android devices.

Design
The Redmi Note 2 4G Phablet has a sleek design with the front completely black barring the red navigation keys. The back panel comes in a wide range of colors and has the camera Lens, Mi logo and speaker grille. Weighing just 160 grams the smartphone is very thin and light to hold.

Display
This Xiaomi handset has a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1920x1080 pixels resolution and 401 ppi. The display details and colors are excellent and offers sharp viewing angles for a phone in this price.

Camera
The smartphone has a 13 MP rear camera made by Samsung and comes with phase detection autofocus for speedy shots. It has a 5 MP front-facing camera that is ideal for taking selfies and video calls.

Processor
The XIAOMI RedMi Note 2 32GB 4G Phablet has a 2.2 GHz processor that makes it easy to switch between applications and perform most tasks. The phone can easily handle most tasks whether you are browsing the web, playing HD movies and or playing 3D games. The smartphone ships with Android 5.1 but the company has promised an upgrade soon.

Battery
The battery is not very good if you are an avid gamer or prefer to stay online the whole day. However a single charge of the device can easily last a day if you use the balanced power setting and are a moderate user.
