1. Swipe Elite 2 preview sale open exclusively for Uber users
Swipe Technologies has announced a preview sale of its latest smartphone, the ELITE 2 exclusively for Uber riders in Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Delhi from October 30 to November 7. 
2. Xiaomi pre Diwali flash sale @Re1
Xiaomi has tweeted that it will be offering Mi goodies for Re 1 as a part of pre-diwali sales. The company has not confirmed the products that will be available in the offer.

3. Moto X Force with shatterproof display to launch in India in November
Motorola Moto X Force smartphone will be launched in India in November. The smartphone runs Android 5.1.1 and is packed by a 2GHz Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB RAM.

4. Windows 10 to become the automatic 'Recommended Update' in 2016
Microsoft has announced that starting next year, every Windows 7 or Windows 8 user will see Windows 10 as a "recommended update" on their computer. 

5. Airtel launches cash-back offers on mobile data in a bid to get more subscribers
Teleco Bharti Airtel launched data cashback, family data share, smartphone surprises data packs in the festival season in an effort to gain more subscribers. 

6. Alphabet to open Chinese units
Google parent Alphabet could set up Chinese units soon, the company's co-founder Sergey Brin said in a recent interview.

7. OnePlus unveils Icons earphones for $50
OnePlus has announced new OnePlus Icons headphones along with its latest OnePlus X smartphone. The headphones will be available in two color options, silver and gold. 

8. OnePlus opening up pop-up stores for the OnePlus X
OnePlus is planning to launch pop-up stores across the world where people could purchase the smartphone without an invite. However the company is only planning to open experience centers in India in New Delhi and Mumbai where people can have a look at the smartphone.

9. Internet Freedom has improved in India
"Internet freedom improved in India for the second consecutive year in 2015, even as more governments worldwide censored information of public interest and expanded surveillance," said the 'Freedom on the Net 2015' released by Freedom House in a statement on Wednesday.
