Chinese app developer apologized after Apple kicked out more than 250 applications that collect personal data in violation of the company's privacy policies from its online store.

2. Xiaomi unveils 60-inch Mi TV 3 and new Ninebot mini self-balancing scooter
Xiaomi has unveiled its first two-wheeled, self-balancing, and battery-powered electric vehicle, named Ninebot mini along with a brand new Mi TV 3 and other products. The Mi TV 3 is priced at CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs 51,000) while the Ninebot mini is priced CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 20,500) respectively.

3. Lenovo launches A1000, A6000 Shot, K3 Note Music 4G budget smartphones in India
Lenovo has unveiled the budget A1000, the A6000 Shot, and the K3 Note Music smartphone in India starting at Rs 4,999. The three handsets will be available for sale through retail outlets in the country in the last week of October.

4. Alcatel Flash 2 4G smartphone with 13 MP rear camera launched at Rs. 9,299
Alcatel has launched the Flash 2 smartphone in India at Rs. 9,299. The smartphone will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart from October 27. The Flash 2 smartphone boasts of a 5 inch display, octa-core processor and runs Android 5.1.

5. Infosys, Huawei to jointly launch smart stadium solutions 
Infosys has partnered with Chinese ICT solutions provider Huawei to launch a smart stadium solution that will provide high-speed Wi-Fi access and smart services for users in stadiums and exhibition centres, a statement said.

6. Asus launches A series budget range of laptops; starts Rs 23,990, 2-year warranty 
Asus has announced the ‘A’ series budget range of laptops. In addition to the launch of the new range of budget laptops, the company has also announced a 2-year warranty program for any laptop in the A series.

7.Panasonic Toughpad FZ-Y1 20-inch rugged tablet launched at Rs 2,40,000 
Panasonic has launched a rugged tablet in its Toughpad series called the Toughpad FZ-Y1 for Rs 2,40,000. This Windows 10 running rugged tablet is meant for broadcasters, photographers, architects and other professionals.

8. Study: Friends post Facebook pictures to make you jealous
A British survey done by smartphone maker HTC has revealed that almost everybody lies on their Facebook and Instagram profiles to look good. “Over two thirds of us post images to our profiles to make it look like we’re more adventurous than we are,” the findings revealed.

9. Study: Snapchat more popular among teens than Facebook
A new survey has revealed that photo-sharing platform Instagram is more popular among teenagers in the US compared with other social networking sites. "Instagram was the most popular social site for 33% of teens. In second place was Twitter with 20%, and following that was Snapchat with 19%" digitaltrends.com reported on Sunday.
