1. Xiaomi Diwali sale begins tomorrow
Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced the launch of its pre-Diwali sales beginning tomorrow, where the company will sell its products at Re1. 
2. Gionee launches Android 5.1 based S Plus smartphone with USB Type C at Rs. 16,999
Gionee has launched the S Plus smartphone in India starting at Rs 16,999. The smartphone features a USB Type-C port. It has a 5.5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, an octa-core MediaTek (MT6753) processor  with 3GB of RAM and runs Android 5.1.

3. Philips launches 'SoftBlue' display smartphones 
Philips has launched the Sapphire S616 and the Sapphire Life V787 smartphones, with a new 'SoftBlue' technology that reducing eye fatigue by 84% compared with other smartphones.

4. India to have more than 90 million 4G subscribers by 2017
According to a recent report by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, 4G subscribers in India will reach 90 million by 2017-18 from almost zero in 2015-16 driven by launch of new data services and cheaper plans for customers.

5. Motorola launches Moto X Force smartphone 
Motorola has unveiled its latest Moto X Force smartphone with a 5.4-inch AMOLED QHD display, Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with 3GB RAM, a 21MP rear camera and runs Android 5.1.

6. Swipe Elite 2 4G smartphone at Rs. 4,666
Swipe Technologies has launched the Elite 2 4G smartphone at Rs. 4,666. The device will be available exclusively  via e-commerce website Flipkart.

7. HTC Desire 828 dual SIM smartphone unveiled
HTC has unveiled the Desire 828 Dual SIM smartphone for CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs. 16,500). The smartphone runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with HTC Sense UI, 5.5-inch full-HD display and a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash.

8. 11 Year old Mira Modi sells secure passwords
Indian origin girl has started selling cryptographically secure passwords to customers for $2/- generated via Diceware paraphrases.

9. OnePlus to start production in India by Dec
OnePlus has announced that it will start production of the OnePlus X smartphones in India by December. OnePlus stated, 'Local production will not only make our operations more efficient in terms of cost and working capital requirements but also help us in making our products available for sale much faster than ever before. 10. Samsung Galaxy On5, Galaxy On7 to launch in India on Tuesday
Samsung has sent out press invites for an event in New Delhi which says that the company will announce "the latest addition to its smartphone portfolio." The company is expected to launch the Galaxy On7 and Galaxy On5 smartphones at the event.
