Moto 360 2nd gen smartwatch available at Rs 19,999 onwards

The wait is over now. The much awaited Moto360-the second generation smartwatch has been launched in India on 1 Dec, after making an international appearance at IFA 2015, in Berlin. Priced at Rs 19,999 it is available via e- retailer Flipkart.

The Moto 360 smartwatch comes in five variants in India. Of these three are in metal and two leather ones. Two variants – distinctive rose gold with blush leather and natural metal are exclusively designed for women. Whereas the men’s models has options of cognac, black leather and black metal. The sports model- Moto360 sport is exclusively for the fitness freaks.  For men it is available in 46 mm and 42 mm, whereas the women have a watch face of only 42mm, considering their slimmer wrists. With an aircraft grade 316 L stainless steel body, it uses Corning Gorilla Glass to keep it scratch free and is also IP-67 certified, making it dust and water resistant, keeping it safe in the worst conditions.

As for the other specs, it has two screen sizes, 1.37 inches and 1.56 inches. As per Motorola, the screen-to-case ratio is the largest as compared to any other smartwatch available today. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Quad core processors, it runs Google’s Android Wear OS for smartwatches, which means it is fully compatible with Android devices.  The 42mm variant supports 300mAh battery which lasts for 1.5 days with the ambient off, whereas the 46mm works on 400mAh battery, which lasts for 2 days with the ambient off. The internal storage capacity is 4GB with 512MB of RAM. It supports WiFi, Bluetooth and has various sensors attached like optical heart rate monitor to work as your personal fitness tracker.
