5.5 inch Huawei Honor 5X smartphone with best-in-class fingerprint reader, lands in India on 28 January

Chinese manufacturer Huawei’s subsidiary brand, Honor is all geared up to launch its smartphone “Honor 5X” in India on 28th January. To recall, the phone was unveiled in China, last year, in 2 variants- 2 GB RAM and 3 GB of RAM, priced at Rs 10,200 and 14,300 respectively. The press invites for the launch event in Delhi have already been sent.

The dual SIM, dual standby, Honor 5X boasts of a 5.5 inch full HD touchscreen display of 1080x1920p resolution, wrapped in a metallic unibody design. The handset measures 8.2 mm in thickness and weighs 158 gms. Powered by an octa core qualcomm snapdragon chipset paired with 2GB/ 3GB of RAM, and Adreno 405 graphics unit, it is fueled by android 5.1 lollipop operating system with a topping of Huawei’s EMUI 3.1 software. The onboard storage is 16 GB that can be further extended up to 128 GB via  a micro card. The phone also includes a fingerprint scanner with “fingerprint 2.0” technology, to unlock the phone in 0.5 seconds, box speakers and packs a 3000mAh non removable quick charging battery, that charges 50% battery in 30 minutes. Other routine connectivity options included are 3G, 4G LTE, GPS, wifi , micro USB v 2, FM Radio and Bluetooth.

Camera wise, it packs a 13 MP primary camera with dual LED flash, Blue Glass IR filter, 28mm wide- angle lens, 5P lens and a 5MP secondary camera to facilitate video calling. Other mundane features offered are geo tagging, face detection, touch focus, panorama and HDR

Available in white, black and sunset gold, the pre orders for the handset have begun on Amazon and Newegg and the shipments will start on 31st January onwards. Honor 5X with its solid mid-level hardware and high end specifications is going to make mobile handling a wonderful experience.
