Blu announces Vivo XL and Vivo 5 Android smartphones with 3150 mAh battery

The US based smartphone maker Blu has taken the cloth off its two new smartphones- Vivo 5 and Vivo XL at the ongoing CES 2016. Priced at Rs 13,250 and Rs 10,000 approx, both the handsets will be sold via the online portals Amazon and Best buy in the US. The global roll out plan is not yet disclosed by the company. The only difference between both the phones is the construction material, aesthetics and the memory options.

Both the new android smartphones feature a lot of identical specifications, starting from a 5.5 inch SUPER AMOLED display with pixel density of 267 ppi and super strong protection from corning gorilla glass 3. While Vivo 5 weighs 141 gms, and is 6.9 mm thick, Vivo XL is a little on the heavier side with 152 gms and thickness 7.5mm. Powerful performances are given by octa core MediaTek MT6753 processor, running android 5.1 lollipop operating systems. Storage wise Vivo 5 comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory whereas Vivo XL packs 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage. The expandable storage in both the devices is up to 64GB only via micro SD card. 

The Vivo XL sports a glossy metal finish with a subtle pattern at the back that brings an extra flair to the phone whereas Vivo 5 features a full metal design.

Both are dual SIM phones with 4G LTE, sporting a battery backup of 3150 mAh and pack USB Type C ports. Camera wise they pack a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front snapper for beautiful selfies.

Blu Vivo XL will be available in chrome silver, liquid gold, midnight blue and rose gold color options whereas Vivo 5 in white – silver and gold color variants. While Vivo XL will hit the e tailors this month, Vivo 5 will arrive some time in February. Thus the two new Blu phones pair slick premium designs and high grade materials at traditionally low prices.
