Gionee Marathon M5 Lite smartphone with massive 4000mAh battery launched

The Chinese company Gionee has launched a Lite version of its Marathon M5 smartphone, called the Marathon M5 Lite. The phone which was launched in China last month will be sold in India via the company’s official online store and other retail stores for a price of Rs 12,999, in golden color.

The dual SIM Marathon M5 Lite comes with a 5 inch HD IPS display of resolution 720x1280 pixels and Aashi dragon trail glass protection wrapped in aviation grade aluminum alloy.  It measures 143 x 69.9 x 8.5 mm and weighs 183 grams. Running on android 5.1 lollipop based amigo 3. UI, it packs a 1.3 GHz quad core MediaTek MT 6735 chipset, Mali T720 GPU bundled with 3GB of RAM, 32 GB ROM which can further make an addition up to 128 GB via micro card. The phone supports 4G LTE connectivity plus other routine options like micro USB, wifi, Bluetooth and FM Radio. Camera wise, it features an 8MP primary camera with auto focus, CMOS sensor and LED flash and a 5MP front snapper.

The USP of this phone is its massive 4000mAh battery that promises to deliver up to 40 hours of talk time, 68 hours of music playback, 3 days of regular use and up to 39 days of standby time. The handset can charge other smartphones as well using an OTG cable.
