Pre bookings are on for Asus Zenfone Max, the power bank phone with 5000 mAh battery

Asus India has added yet another feather to its cap under the ZenFone series, called “Asus ZenFone Max.” Priced at Rs 9,999 in the country, and with a tentative release date of 14th January, the pre bookings have started for the device via online retailers like amazon and flipkart. The phone will also be available on Asus exclusive stores and other retail stores. The device which was originally seen in August 2015 in Zen Festival, held at New Delhi, comes with the USP that it boasts of a 5000mAh battery that promises to deliver 914 hours of standby and up to 38 hours of talk time.

Talking about the specifications, it sports a 5.5 inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection to keep it safe and secure. For daily tasks and activities it is powered by snapdragon 410 64-bit quad core processor, adreno 306 graphics unit, paired with 2 GB of RAM and runs android 5.1 OS with a layer of Zen UI on the top. On the storage front, it has in built memory of 16 GB and micro SD card supports an additional facility up to 64 GB. The mundane connectivity features include 4G-LTE for ultimate downloading speeds, wifi, Bluetooth, dual SIM and USB-OTG.

For the photography lovers, the camera department houses a 13 MP rear snapper with LED flash and 5 MP front facing camera for selfie lovers. The ultra-fast laser auto focus reduces blurring and enhances image stabilization and the low light mode captures pictures up to 400% brighter at night or in low –light scene. With 5000mAh energy packed into the pocket, it even turns into power bank allowing you to charge other devices.
