Android powered ZTE Blade V580 with a fingerprint reader and metal body launched

The Chinese manufacturer ZTE is all geared up to add another mid ranger in its kitty, called the ZTE Blade V580 which was officially released on 9th march on the company’s website in Japan. Preorders for the handset have already started in many online stores of the country at a price point of JPY 27,800 (roughly Rs. 16,600) and the shipments will start March 25th onwards. Worldwide availability details of the device are not yet known. The USP of the handset is its “high-precision' fingerprint reader at the back which also works as a camera shutter button besides for other security purposes.

Talking about the specifications of the device, it comes well equipped with a 5.5 inch Full HD capacitive touch screen with a glass and metallic construction. The device weighs 165 gms and measures 77.2x155.3x8.6mm and shall be available in silver and grey color options. The innards include a 64bit octa core 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6753 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and inbuilt storage of 16GB. A micro SD card slot allows it to make a further addition for up to 32GB. Running android 5.1 lollipop, the handset accepts 2 Nano SIM’s. The second SIM slot can also act as a micro SD slot. Besides having 4G LTE network and Dual SIM connectivity, it houses a 3000 mAh battery which completes the package.

ZTE Blade V580 has a very decent camera set up which includes a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper for selfie lovers. Besides the standard features like Wi-Fi b/g/n, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and micro USB connectivity, it also packs a finger print reader which is a delight in the budget friendly devices.
