Google celebrates Karl Landsteiner's birthday with a doodle

Google is celebrating the birth anniversary for noted physicist Karl Landsteiner with an interactive doodle. Karl was a noted Austrian and American biologist and physician, and is recognized for distinguishing the main blood groups in 1900. 

He helped in discovering the polio virus in 1909. Karl received the Aronson Prize in 1926 and the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1930 in recognisition of his work. Karl is recognized as the father of transfusion medicine.
