Xiaomi Redmi Pro- the smartphone with dual cameras launched


Xiaomi recently announced the launch of its latest product Xiaomi Redmi pro, the smartphone with dual camera. The device which has been announced on 27 July and will be available for grabs in china from 8th august onwards. The smartphone shall be available in three processor, storage and memory  variants, priced differently for different models-  Helio X20  with 3 GB RAM and 32GB storage for Rs. 15,100), Helio X25 featuring  3 GB RAM plus 64 GB internal storage for  Rs. 17,100), and  Helio X25 with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage at approx Rs. 20,200). The device shall be available for purchase in Gold, Silver, and Dark Grey color options.

Talking about its specs, Xiaomi Redmi pro  boasts of a 5.5” full HD OLED display having 342ppi pixel density, 100% NTSC color gamut enveloped in 2.5D curved glass and having dimension 151.5x76.2x8.15mm, and a weight of 174 grams.  It has a well-placed fingerprint sensor on the ceramic hold button. Its CNC- chamfered edges and a brushed aluminum body support a USB Type-C port.

The USP of the device is that it runs on a 2.5GHz Deca-core MediaTek Helio X25 processor paired with a Mali-T880 GPU.  As per the company, this processor makes the device the 'most powerful Redmi ever'.


It bears a hybrid dual SIM (Nano-SIM + Micro-SIM) slot, supporting a microSD card expandable up to 128 GB. Connectivity wise, it supports Bluetooth v4.2, 4G LTE - as well as VoLTE support, GPS/ A-GPS, WI-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with direct functionality. A 4050 mAH battery completes the package.

The other highlight of the all new Xiaomi Redmi Pro is its dual rear cameras with a 13-MP Sony IMX258 sensor bearing a 5-lens module, PDAF autofocus and an f/2.0 aperture combined with a 5 MP Samsung sensor for the other depth-sensing camera. The front is adorned with a 5-MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens.

Thus Xiaomi Redmi Pro is an awe-inspiring smartphone that defines standards and has everything classy that a tech savvy customer desires for.
