A number of rumours about Samsung’s next flagship smartphones the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus have been making the rounds for a while now. The smartphone which is expected to be launched in March this year, have accidently been posted on Samsung India’s page with the model number SM-G955FD. The model number has been mentioned on Samsung India’s support page but doesn’t mention any other details about the upcoming smartphones.
The Samsung's Galaxy S8 Edge has a 6.2-inch curved QHD Super-AMOLED display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835/ Exynos 8895 processor with 4GB of RAM. The bigger Galaxy S8 Plus variant will reportedly come with an iris scanner, alongside a fingerprint scanner, for added security similar to the company’s disastrous Galaxy Note 7 which at one time Samsung had touted as the most secure phone due to its dual biometric security sensors.
Other rumours about the Galaxy S8 include the integration of the company’s voice assistant Bixby, which will be powered by Samsung’s SVoice. Samsung flagship will also come with 3D Touch and will have a windows continuum like the feature that will allow you to connect your Samsung phone to a monitor via a dock. More details about Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge will be revealed at the upcoming Mobile World Congress event later this month!
