Xiaomi Redmi 4A 3GB RAM variant launched for Rs 6,999

Xiaomi has launched a new variant of its Redmi 4A smartphone with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage for Rs. 6,999. The phone will be available via Mi.com, Flipkart, Amazon India, Paytm, and Tata CliQ.

Manu Kumar Jain, vice president at Xiaomi and managing director at Xiaomi India, said in a tweet on Monday, "Surprise! We are launching a new variant of Redmi 4A (3GB RAM + 32 GB flash memory) at an amazing price of Rs. 6,999."

Xiaomi Redmi 4A was launched in India in March at Rs. 5,999, which features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The phone has a hybrid dual-SIM card slot, and runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

It has a 5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC. The handset has a 13 MP sensor with PDAF and a f/2.2 aperture. It has a 5MP front camera with a f/2.2 aperture. The phone has an expandable phone memory of 128GB.

Connectivity options included in the phone are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, and Bluetooth v4.1. It has an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, infrared, and proximity sensors. The device is powered by a 3120mAh battery with fast charging support.
